Closing Weekend of "Female Buddhas: Women of Enlightenment in Himalayan Art"
An Empowering and Distinctive View of Female Deities

WHAT:    
August 26, 2007 is the final opportunity to see “Female Buddhas: Women of Enlightenment in Himalayan Art” at The Crow Collection of Asian Art, in partnership with New York’s Rubin Museum of Art. The exhibition showcases sculptures and paintings from the 13th through the 19th centuries, which study the rare female deity.

WHERE:   
The Crow Collection of Asian Art
2010 Flora Street, in the heart of the Dallas Arts District

WHEN:   
Tuesdays-Sundays 10 AM- 5 PM,
Extended hours on Thursdays until 9 PM; closed Mondays.

COST:       
The Crow Collection is FREE to the general public.

WHY:   
The female deity is largely unexamined throughout Asia, making Tibet one of the only regions that recognizes the female perspective in their study of divinity.
